Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the studio’s long-awaited streaming service will feature all Star Wars movies produced after 2019, but none of the movies that came before. This news doesn’t come as much of a surprise, since Disney sold the streaming rights to the first six movies to Turner Broadcasting in 2016, for $275 million, which remains in effect until 2024. Disney has been trying to re-obtain those Star Wars rights from Turner, but talks have reportedly stalled after Turner rejected Disney’s initial inquiry....

Shortly after Apple released the fourth-gen Apple TV last year, Disney announced a $100 Disney Infinity 3.0 bundle based on Star Wars that included a controller and a Disney Infinity figurine stand. The package was designed to encourage people to download and play Disney Infinity 3.0 on their Apple TV, but now it looks like the company has no future plans to update the game (via TouchArcade). Disney is now selling Fox’s video game studio, FoxNext, to mobile game developer Scopely Games. Founded in 2017 as part of a larger initiative to build theme parks and virtual reality experiences, FoxNext Games published the mobile game Marvel Strike Force, as well as tie-ins for Futurama, X-Files, and Alien. Disney+ continues to grow its subscriber base, thanks in large part to expanding availability to new international rollouts. The company announced today that Disney+ has surpassed 50 million subscribers just five months after launch. Disney+ last provided an update on its subscriber numbers two months ago, when it reported 28.6 million subscribers. This means the service has seen growth of nearly 22 million users in the past two months. Much of that growth can likely be attributed to the international expansion of Disney+....
