Disney has announced ten new unscripted series - including two Marvel shows - for its upcoming streaming service, Disney+. The news comes a day ahead of their scheduled presentation to the studio’s investors, where presumably even more plans and series will be unveiled. One of the Marvel series, tentatively titled Marvel’s 616, will be produced by none other than the minds behind Netflix’s Emmy-nominated culinary show Chef’s Table. The Supper Club trio - consisting of Brian McGinn, David Gelb and Jason Sterman - have also signed an overall deal with Disney+, and will be producing one other show called Earthkeepers as well....

Based on the original live-action musical distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures way back in 2007, production on the still forthcoming sequel Enchanted 2 has been in the offing for quite some time now. As previously reported, the new movie is being written under the working title of Disenchanted, though little in the way of any other substantive information has been readily forthcoming - despite the fact that the movie was initially announced in 2010....

The Mouse House was busy today and moved its live-action Mulan retelling to 2020, while at the same time claiming release dates for untitled Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pixar, and live-action fairy tale films all the way through to 2023. Ironically enough, Disney’s biggest release date change of the day was also its smallest - with the company and Marvel Studios moving Avengers: Infinity War up to a simultaneous worldwide release at the end of April, a week ahead of its previously-scheduled domestic debut....

Although it’s what most fans wanted to see, Diablo 4 was not announced at BlizzCon 2018, with mobile spinoff Diablo Immortal instead sitting as the major Diablo announcement at the event. The reaction was not positive, with fans dismayed that an event for Blizzard’s most devoted was seen as the best place to unveil a game for a platform that has often failed to hit the mark. Perhaps the most surprising thing about this disaster however, is that Blizzard actually made a video to announce a new Diablo game, but did not want to reveal it at the event....

Says Digitimes: Two problems there (at least). Touch panel makers TPK and GIS are among some of the makers receiving orders from Apple for full-lamination units. FX’s short-lived ad-free streaming service FX Plus is getting shut down by Disney, following the Mouse House’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox’s various assets. The closure of the streaming service puts a question as to whether or not the cable network’s acclaimed series will be folded into Disney Plus when it launches later in 2019. It’s not the first casualty to result from Disney’s efforts to obtain Fox assets, but it does hint at how FX Networks will operate under the Disney umbrella moving forward....

Prominent community developer and jailbreaker Comex has posted a video showing a successful hack of Watch OS to get the device running a web browser. In the video, Comex has managed to get the Google homepage to render on the small Watch display. Apple does not include a Safari browser app on the Watch, for obvious reasons. The video shows that scrolling around even basic web pages on a tiny display is impractical....
