Disney cut a kissing scene from its upcoming live-action adaptation of Mulan after reviewing the film with Chinese audiences. The original animated version of the movie released in 1998, but because of some of the liberties it took with the film’s story, it did not do well with Chinese audiences who thought the movie was disrespectful to the original myth it was based on and their culture in general. Willem Dafoe has officially signed on for Disney’s Togo, which will be featured on the company’s upcoming streaming service. Disney’s untitled streaming service is set to launch in 2019, with several original features, including the film adaptation of Stargirl. Considering that the streaming service is a year out, Togo could be one of the first original additions to the platform’s library, along with a slew of Disney-owned content. Much like what happened with Netflix, Disney’s streaming content will primarily consist of previously-released movie and TV content in the beginning, including upwards of 8,000 episodes from ABC TV shows....

Discovery Communications updated two of its iOS apps today with a brand new second screen experience dubbed “Plus”. Available for the Discovery Channel HD app and the TLC app for iPhone and iPad, “TLC Plus” and “Discovery Plus” brings interactive “second-screen” content that syncs to some of the network’s most popular shows. According to iTunes, the synced experience includes “exclusive factoids, photos, and more” and will also allow you to sync up with previously aired Plus-enabled shows that you may have recorded on your DVR....

When lawyer Jen Walters is involved in a shooting incident and needs a blood transfusion, the only donor available with her type is her cousin, Bruce Banner.
