AT&T today has announced a variety of next-generation features that will soon come to DirecTV Now. As part of a larger upgrade to AT&T’s somewhat cluttered video services, DirecTV Now is gaining cloud DVR, streaming quality improvements, and more… Headlining the changes is of course support for DVR, a feature that competitors such as YouTube TV and Hulu Live TV already offer. At this point, specifics regarding DirecTV Now’s DVR functionality, such as price and storage limits, are unclear, but nevertheless the feature is coming....

Disney’s Mulan debuted over 20 years ago, and it remains a beloved animated classic today. With a strong female lead, a smart-mouthed dragon, and gorgeous visuals, the film has a lot going for it. Players have noticed something different with the PS4 release of Devil May Cry 5. Pricing changes have arrived today for both YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium. The discounted YouTube plans are now available for students with 50% off the streaming music and video services normal pricing. As reported by TechCrunch, this is the first major change to YouTube services since the launch of YouTube Music back in May of this year. So far, the discounted plans are available to full-time US college students. Streaming service Disney+ has gained 28.6 million subscribers in only its first three months. The relatively new streamer, which Disney launched on November 12 of last year, gained 10 million subscribers in its first day. A lot of Disney+’s success can be attributed to the overwhelming popularity of Star Wars. The Mandalorian, the first live-action Star Wars television show of its kind, launched with Disney+. It’s not unfair to say that a lot of Star Wars fans purchased a Disney+ subscription just for The Mandalorian....

Marvel’s Disney+ show Loki has reportedly added actress Sophia Di Martino to the cast. It was officially announced earlier this year several fan-favorite characters within the MCU, along with some brand new ones, would headline their own shows for Disney’s streaming service. The first series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, is currently in production. While a lot of details regarding the shows are still scarce, this has been a big week for news about them thanks to the special Expanding the Universe, which was included in Disney+’s launch day content....

Disney released a trailer for its live-action adaptation of teen heroine Kim Possible, the hit spy cartoon from the 2000s. The TV movie will follow teenage sleuth Kim Possible as she thwarts an evil plot while trying to survive her freshman year of high school. Making her screen debut as Ms. Possible is 17-year-old Sadie Stanley, and she is be accompanied by The Goldbergs’ Sean Giambrone, who fills the clumsy-but-lovable shoes of Kim’s sidekick Ron Stoppable....

Disney’s live-action film chief has confirmed the studio is still developing a movie based on The Graveyard Book. The original novel by Neil Gaiman was published in 2008 and won several prestigious literary awards, including the American Newberry Medal. Gaiman’s source material tells the story of Nobody “Bod” Owen, a young boy who is raised by the ghosts and supernatural beings of a graveyard - including, the graveyard’s caretaker Silas - after his family is murdered by a mysterious man known as Jack....

Judging by early reviews, Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 has handily reclaimed its action-adventure crown. As the first entry in the long-standing series after over six years, Devil May Cry 5 sees established demon slayers Dante and Nero joined by a new playable protagonist, a mysterious summoner known only as V, on a bloody, out-of-sequence journey to take down a powerful demon. The over-the-top hack-and-slash franchise’s last outing was back in 2013 with DmC: Devil May Cry, a somewhat flawed reboot that deeply upset some fans due to its attempt to replace the Dante fans know and love with a younger, updated version of the character....
